We visited the Aral Sea region in May, 2015 including the territory of Karakapakstan, an autonomous republic of Uzbekistan and its capital city of Nukus in Uzbekistan to explore the impact of the new man made Aralkum Desert shifting over surrounding grounds and local communities.
